Job responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and monitor operating environments
  • Research and recognize the most appropriate delivery infrastructure choices
  • Design the architecture to deliver the required infrastructure solution
  • Ensure safety and efficiency of operating environments
  • Deploy, maintain and upgrade the infrastructure building process
  • Contribute to overall quality of the deliverables
  • Update software and report malware where necessary
  • Collaborate with the application support team to deal with critical incidents within managed service environment
  • Participate in preparing a roadmap for the infrastructure development and evolution
  • Ensure design improvements to allow more efficient environment, applications and clients support
  • Contribute to increasing availability and delivering recursive upgradation of existing infrastructure solutions

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of infrastructure development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Proficiency in DBMS and enterprise resource planning
  • Advanced knowledge of networking hardware including CPUs, wiring, routers, and network analysis tools like SolarWind
  • Experience with application deployment and scripting
  • Strong knowledge of communication and routing protocols
  • Expertise in multiple coding languages like Python, Perl, etc.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy laws and implementation
  • Strong grasp of English language for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of computer architecture fundamentals, networking, virtualization, storage and OS concepts
  • Knowledge of next-gen Firewalls (NGFWs), cloud-managed networking, mobile device management, and cloud security
