Job responsibilities

  • Write efficient code modules for embedded and operating systems
  • Write reliable, testable, and clean C/C++ code
  • Develop kernel modules, libraries, and embedded systems
  • Run unit and integration tests and optimize code for high performance
  • Identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot software issues
  • Optimize modules with regular maintenance and upgrades
  • Create end-user application feedback channels
  • Document software development processes and records
  • Keep up to date with C/C++ standards and advancements

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working with C/C++ (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages
  • Experience with high-level languages like Java, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, and XML technologies
  • Proficiency in code versioning tools like SVN, Mercurial, and Git
  • Good understanding of systems design and low-level hardware interactions
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively with engineers and clients
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of STL and Boost libraries
  • Working knowledge of machine learning algorithms
  • Familiarity with relational database management systems like Oracle and SQL Server
  • Strong understanding of CS fundamentals including data structures and algorithms, design patterns, and OOP principles
