Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Be a contributor to the multifaceted team and assist in developing robust iOS applications
  • Write scalable code and perform unit/integration tests to ensure usability & reliability, code organization, and automatization
  • Take charge of determining development methods. Deliver test, implementation, and support plans at multi-tier levels
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies & industry trends and implement those in the development process to address new problems or improve existing solutions
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders, project managers, and designers to determine and deploy new application features
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Work closely with the QA team to find and fix developmental bottlenecks and bugs

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in iOS app development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Well-versed in iOS app development with Swift, Objective-C, C#, XCode, Cocoa Touch, etc.
  • Experience in iOS frameworks, including Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics, and Core Text
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile app testing and security
  • Profound understanding of iOS’s design principles and interface guidelines
  • Sound skills in implementing UI patterns, including MVC and MVVM
  • Portfolio of published original iOS app on the App Store
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with U.S. time zones

Preferred skills

  • Familiar with unit testing tools, like Espresso, Junit, etc.
  • Knowledge of developing and integrating SDKs
  • Well-versed with REST APIs and version control with Git
  • Excellent creative, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment
