Job responsibilities

  • Ensure a smooth flow of data from source to destination
  • Utilize strong database skills to work with large, complex data sets to extract insights
  • Filter and cleanse unstructured (or ambiguous) data into usable data sets

  • Work closely with top management to prioritize information and analytic needs

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Economics, (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Proficiency in programming high-level languages and tools like - SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, Python, JavaScript, XML, ETL, etc.

  • Experience working with data mining, data models, segmentation techniques, database design development, text analytics, and social media analytics
  • Fluent with standard statistical techniques logistic regression, classification models, cluster analysis, neural networks, random forests, ensembles, etc.
  • Knowledge of reporting packages like Business Objects, programming with JavaScript, XML, or ETL frameworks, and databases
  • Hands-on expertise with database technologies and tools (SQL/R/SAS/JMP etc.), data warehousing, transformation, and processing
  • Solid understanding of data visualization tools like Power BI, DAX, Tableau, etc.
  • Proficient in tools such as Apache Spark, ELK stack, Apache Airflow, Hadoop Ecosystem, Apache Kafka, or Amazon Redshift
  • Ability to manage simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced, technology-oriented environment.
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
