Job description

A US-based company that leverages data intelligence and automation technology to stimulate innovation and knowledge transfer, is looking for a Software Node.js Engineer. The engineer will be reporting to the Director of R&D and is expected to directly impact the company’s success in the market. The company enables organizations to control and monetize their data by providing them with powerful data analytics and automation tools and services. Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive insights and creativity for the platform by designing, developing, fixing, and releasing software features, components, and products
  • Work closely with the entire engineering team to develop solutions and create innovative approaches for its design and implementation
  • Collaborate with the engineering team in all aspects of the design and development, from technology and workflow to coding standards
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor team members
  • Regularly make specific determinations about system performance 
  • Review and fix bug reports quickly and efficiently
  • Review and refactor legacy code
  • Proactively work with Quality Assurance and DevOps teams to solve system problems

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 4+ years of relevant Node.js, object-oriented application, and back-end experience
  • Prolific understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development cycle
  • Experience working with product teams to identify core features and plan development
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team
