Job description

An industry-leading b2b e-commerce platform is looking for a Software Engineer (DevOps). As a core member of a well-established team, the engineer will be responsible for the integration of IT operations and development teams across the organization. This position involves implementing DevOps best practices to automate development and testing procedures and speeding up project delivery. The company has over 3 million users on its platform and aims to simplify the supply chain & logistics operations through technology. The company is backed by investors like Tencent, Moonstone Capital, and DST Global and has raised a fund of over $1.2bn so far. Candidates from Asia and Eastern Europe are preferred for this position.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Development and IT Operations teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, scalability, and performance of applications 
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to quantify product quality and engineering efficiency
  • Design and develop CI/CD pipelines to ensure source code control management, and automation of building, testing, and deployment of software products 
  • Perform activities such as code review and validation, architectural review, code deployment, and controlling architecture during phased releases 
  • Provide suggestions for potential projects that can bring impactful results

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B E-commerce industry
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines or Linter
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Mysql, Redis, CentOS, Canary (or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of Deployment Automation (Ansible, Chef) 
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and analytics (Prometheus)
  • Experience with software development with one or more general programming languages (e.g. Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, Kotlin)
  • Effective collaboration skills with an understanding of synchronous and asynchronous communication
