Job description

A U.S.-based on-demand provider of corporate housing solutions is looking to hire a Software Engineer. The engineer will work closely with the team to discuss software problems and come up with solutions. The company has developed solutions that enable thousands of businesses and travelers across the U.S. to save a significant percentage off corporate housing options while providing the best temporary housing experience possible. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity requiring an overlap with the Mountain Standard Time.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand requirements and follow standardized approaches to design, develop, document, review, test, analyze, and release codes
  • Write reliable codes with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks
  • Manage complex tasks using problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Work alongside cross-functional team members, including product managers, designers, developers, etc 
  • Partner with technical authors to build specifications and write operational documentation
  • Work on research, design, and develop new solutions 
  • Identify improvement opportunities and make changes to the existing software
  • Address integration and incompatibility issues to remove blockers
  • Help in monitoring software systems and applications to ensure high performance and low-latency

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer
  • Expertise in languages like Ruby on Rails and/or Reactjs  
  • Must have a clear understanding of microservices - development and maintenance
  • Should be able to work with resources like AngularJS, PostgreSQL, and Heroku
  • Must have a clear idea about UX design with expertise in Typescript
