Job description

One of the largest manufacturers of cabinets and other home decor items in the U.S. is looking for a Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for generating ideas with the team to create testable code, that will be implemented and run. The company functions as part of a larger corporation together with a range of brands that are industry leaders in the home and security sector. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product, design, and marketing teams to enhance the user experience and brand development
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to build robust, scalable features 
  • Brainstorm with the team to develop testable code, implement and execute it
  • Document new features for analysis and experimentation 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • A total of 5+ years of experience on Dell Boomi IPaaS solution
  • Solid understanding of API-based integrations and knowledge of Rest, SOAP, JSON, XML, ODATA, Web Services Interoperability
  • Extensive experience in real-time, batch, and EDI integrations
  • Working knowledge of API design and development in the Cloud as well as on-premise environments
  • Proficient in Boomi technology Connector Webservice, SFTP, database, HTTP, FTP, Mail, etc. 
  • Experience in integration with various database technologies like SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc.
  • Prior experience in mapping, creating and transforming XML, CSV, flat file, data schemas, and X12 schemas for different systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of EDI Documents and X12 EDI Standards
  • Knowledge of standard EDI message types from X12 (ex. 850, 810, 855, 856,997)
  • Nice to have knowledge of application connectors such as Salesforce, Shopify, etc.
  • Experience working with an EDI VAN is preferred 
  • Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript and Groovy is a plus
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
