Job description

The engineer will be tasked with managing the entire lifecycle of the product, from design to documentation. Job Responsibilities:

  • Build products to help organizations train their employees and overcome pressing people-related problems at scale
  • Work with product, design, data, and content teams to develop a modern learning platform
  • Review regular quantitative and qualitative research about the clients and learners and weigh in on the product strategy and roadmap
  • Collaborate with product, data, and design teams to define the product features and functionality
  • Ship iteratively, writing testable, readable, and maintainable code
  • Conduct code reviews for the team, helping set the engineering bar, and make major architecture decisions
  • Work closely with the sales, marketing, implementation, and support teams to ensure users get the most value from the products you have built

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Demonstrable experience building and shipping high-quality products 
  • Prolific experience with Node.js, Python (Django), and/or Ruby on Rails and React is nice to have 
  • Drive to improve and share knowledge with your teammates
  • Ability and experience mentoring junior engineers with code reviews, best practice sharing, and architecture decisions
  • Experience with performance, security, privacy, accessibility, and localization is preferred but not required
  • Nice to have experience architecting or refactoring systems of moderate complexity 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
