Job description

A US-based company that has established itself as the leading equipment manufacturer for structural steel fabricators is looking for a Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be tasked with taking ownership of features, fixing bugs, performing implementations, and helping out with integrations. The company's innovative software interfaces between structural engineering and the customers’ machines that process structural steel beams and columns before they are assembled on construction sites. This will be a full-time position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cross-disciplinary teamwork is essential for success
  • Create, test, and debug software programs
  • Engineering standards, tooling, and processes should all be improved
  • Examine the current infrastructure and make recommendations for improvements
  • Troubleshoot production issues across different services and stack levels

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 3+ years of experience in analytical software design and development
  • Thorough understanding of compiler design, advanced algorithms, operating systems, and computer theory
  • Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures, compiler design, and object-oriented programming
  • Exceptional experience with file parsers, data mapping, interfaces to structural design software, and graphic user interfaces
  • Extensive experience working with C#, Windows Forms, ASP.NET MVC, and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
  • Functional experience with programming, machine learning, or pattern and image recognition
  • Ability to solve challenging problems with impacts in the physical world
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
