Job description

A US-based company building an efficient and robust evidence management software to help the legal system, is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of adding user-facing features to the platform to make it more useful for public defenders. The company is providing video transcripts and providing a secure platform to store, analyze, and share video all in one centralized platform. The company has managed to successfully raise more than $100K during their Pre-Seed round of funding. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve the overall user experience of the editor as they migrate the back-end to better support the machine learning capabilities of the platform
  • Shape the engineering process to better maintain engineering excellence and speed
  • Establish and meet the product roadmap
  • Work directly with key stakeholders and translate their feedback into defining a product roadmap
  • Create testable front-end code and unit tests for it
  • Design and implementation of UI features that integrate data from the back-end endpoints of the REST API
  • Execute necessary changes to the UI/UX based on UI mockups 
  • Understand the platform's overall architecture and how it influences the front-end.
  • Reduce technical debt by using proper coding methods and maintaining good code hygiene

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Demonstrable experience in React and Node.js 
  • Working knowledge of React, Node, JavaScript, or Typescript
  • Knowledge of broader web concepts such as CORS, REST requests, and web security is required
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and when to apply them
  • Prior experience with Python and Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) 
  • Familiarity with AWS and related console
