Software Engineer

A US-based company that makes it easier to start making data-driven streaming decisions by allowing customers to drag and drop their data, is looking for a Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be expected to integrate with a small team, have a growth mindset, and be tasked to take on increasing responsibility over time. The company makes it easier to extract insights out of terabytes per day of data streaming across the internet.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Increase the quality of engineering standards, tooling, and processes
• Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects to produce high-quality results
• Take ownership of features or systems and define their long-term goals and objectives
• Create and maintain scalable, well-documented stacks
• Errors and bugs in software applications must be identified and fixed
• Upgrade, test, and deploy software with the most up-to-date features

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• Experience with Google Cloud or other cloud experience
• Experience with Golang and serverless cloud environments
• Knowledge of SQL and database usage
• Experience managing highly available cloud deployments is nice to have
• Experience managing data at the terabyte scale is desirable
• Nice to have some experience with Docker and containerized deployments
