Job description

A well-established B2B e-commerce trading platform for businesses & shop-owners is looking for a Software Engineer. The developer will be responsible for driving software development best practices within teams and across the organization. The company uses next-generation technology to solve basic, unique trade issues that small and medium businesses encounter. The company has managed to raise funding worth $1 bn so far. This is an exciting opportunity for developers to learn from industry veterans and expand their skill sets.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and implement innovative technology products to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrate product thinking and tackle multifaceted problems with a clear mind
  • Design, develop and deploy highly reliable, available, and scalable technology products, focusing on research and development
  • Continuously seek to improve and maintain software that caters to the creation of digital products
  • Advocate for the technical roadmap of the team in collaboration with software and product engineers 
  • Estimate and manage deliveries of features in a predictable manner
  • Collaborate effectively and contribute to building process improvements and features that enhance continuous improvements 
  • Identify patterns in problem statements and be watchful for opportunities to build capabilities, libraries, and utilities 
  • Collaborate, mentor, and guide team members 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Experience with one or more general programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript)
  • Extensive object-oriented design skill
  • Ability to apply design patterns and to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces 
  • Understanding of IP networking fundamentals 
  • Knowledge of Kotlin will be nice to have
  • Nice to have a sense of streaming technologies or experience implementing some streaming projects
  • Expertise in database management, observability, and monitoring
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in network operations
