Job description

A Silicon Valley-based company that has been listed in the Forbes Cloud 100 Company, is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be helping the existing team to define and drive the ongoing vision of how developers will interact with and develop on top of the company’s metadata platform. The company is the market leader in cloud data management, and has managed to build a singular platform that helps customers to manage and protect cloud data. The company has managed to secure over $500mn in funding so far. This will be a great opportunity for candidates to rapidly scale their skills while working in an agile and collaborative environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of full-stack features, from design to implementation to testing
  • Design, implement, maintain, and upgrade large-scale distributed systems responsible for the collection, organization of metadata at scale
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and improve scalability, resiliency, and availability 
  • Implement framework best practices and continuously look for opportunities to build new abstractions to increase developer clarity and velocity

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience 
  • Expertise in software designing, implementing, testing, and performance tuning
  • Strong experience with SQL and distributed databases
  • Experience in building large-scale distributed systems 
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with multithreading and asynchronous processing
  • A great team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
