Job description

A U.S.-based company that is on a mission to transform the transportation industry with their cutting-edge range of products and services, is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing cutting-edge solutions to help with the company's explosive expansion. The company offers freight brokerage services, which match up consumers with reputable carriers who can transfer truckloads of freight that have to be moved. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:


  • Work together in an agile, cross-functional team to create software that satisfies client needs
  • Create solutions for the Web, front-end, back-end, and database using the entire stack
  • Build and build cloud-based, on-premises, and hybrid solutions.
  • Complete the SDLC, which entails technical research, requirements collection, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, and take the lead in doing so
  • Create and execute web-based apps and APIs
  • Engage fully in and facilitate architectural design sessions
  • Attend code deployment meetings and take part in the weekly support rotation to address issues as they arise
  • Create the essential software, procedures, and APIs needed for B2B and A2A integrations
  • Serve as an expert with extensive knowledge of integrating technology and solutions
  • Assist other developers with coaching and mentoring, and contribute to best practices for integrations


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6-10+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 5+ years of hands-on full stack development experience in SQL Server, .NET framework and .NET 6, and C# programming language 
  • 5+ years of experience with Web Services, JavaScript frameworks, JSON, XML, and REST Technologies
  • 5+ years of expertise using business connectivity platforms, such as MuleSoft Anypoint, Informatica B2B, Boomi, etc. 
  • 3+ years of expertise configuring adapters, including web services, iFlows, JMS, SFTP, SOAP, IDOC, Proxy, and FTPS
  • 5+ years of expertise interacting with outside APIs 
  • 5+ years of mapping and data translation experience
  • 3+ years of expertise in creating on-premises and cloud-based system integrations
  • Extensive knowledge of service bus and event hub technologies
  • Proven proficiency with CI/CD and DevOps tools (e.g., ADO, Jenkins)
  • Comprehensive understanding of recommended methods for integration testing
  • In-depth knowledge of modern code management techniques and tools like GitHub
  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing highly available, horizontally scalable systems with an emphasis on resilience and performance
  • Strong sense of urgency and readiness to put in additional work to fulfill deadlines on a highly visible and important program for the business
  • Solid interpersonal and communication abilities are required to work closely with team members and leadership
  • Prior experience with Cloud computing, Microsoft Azure, the logistics sector, and EDI relationships are all nice to have
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
