Job description

A rapidly-growing company that manages distinct accounts utilizing a concentrated long/short equity strategy based on fundamentals, is looking for a Software Developer. The selected candidate will be part of the founding members and contribute to building a world-class analytics system that will be a critical piece of the company’s investment strategy. The company's goal is to be the foremost blockchain gaming hedge fund by thoroughly analyzing businesses where technologies, products, and/or business models are undergoing change and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity for developers to work with industry giants and gain some first-hand experience. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build an internal analytics and trading system
  • Take ownership of the initial technology architecture and the technical roadmap
  • Be at the forefront of the blockchain gaming ecosystem evolution
  • Rapidly change with the onset of AR and more immersive VR
  • Balance time to market with scalability and maintainability

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 3+ years experience building software solutions in a corporate or start-up engineering environment, or equivalent
  • Experience using an industry-standard language like JavaScript, PHP, Python, C++, and/or Java
  • Working knowledge of REST and RPC service patterns and other client/server interaction models
  • Knowledge of Internet technologies like HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, and AJAX
  • Strong programming experience in Node.js or Python is nice to have
  • Nice to have some experience in cloud infrastructure technologies 
  • Proficiency with Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs, MySQL, NoSQL, automations, etc.
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure like Lambda, Redshift, and Aurora is desirable
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL datastores, including experience scaling data systems for real-time analytics is nice to have
  • Basic understanding of blockchain smart contracts is preferred
  • Passionate about investing, gaming, and/or web3
