Job description

A U.S.-based company that is enabling users to build their wealth and define their legacy in an impactful manner is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of building performant mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms. To find assets and do due diligence on them, the company collaborates with investment offices, ensuring access to top managers and institutional-caliber portfolio management. They have managed to raise more than $5mn during their Seed round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Architect and build mobile applications
  • Coordinate with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure
  • Create pixel-perfect, fluid user interfaces for both mobile devices
  • Utilize native APIs to achieve thorough platform integration
  • For performance that feels native, identify and remove issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Engage the open source community to support and assist with the implementation of mission-critical software fixes
  • Work in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process
  • To guarantee the product is of the highest quality, maintain the code and create automated unit and integration tests
  • Clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions
  • Work with product managers to comprehend the requirements and develop them in accordance with the Figma screens provided by the product designer

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • 2+ years of experience working with React Naive
  • Prolific experience with JavaScript and Typescript nuances, including ES6+ syntax
  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • Strong understanding and experience with Redux and the ability to produce well-documented, clear JavaScript code
  • Strong understanding and experience with Redux and the ability to produce well-documented, clear JavaScript code working with external dependencies and troubleshooting dependency issues
  • Working knowledge of native build tools like XCode, and npm
  • Thorough knowledge of the document request model, offline storage, and REST APIs
  • Extensive experience working with HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts
  • Prior experience writing automated tests, preferably with Jest, like Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Mocha, AVA, tape, etc.
  • Experience using Git and Github in a professional environment
  • Strong understanding of core web and browser concepts (e.g. how the browser parses and constructs a web page)
  • Experience with performance and optimization problems and ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems
  • Demonstrated ability to onboard and integrate with an organization long-term
  • Strong team player with a commitment to perfection
  • Excellent command over the English language, both written and verbal
