Job description

A Silicon Valley-based company that has launched stationless electric scooters with dockless mobility systems is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will take charge of the project planning, documentation, and expanding the apps to fit business needs. The company collaborates with local communities and the government to provide e-scooter and e-bike programs that are ecological, accessible, and efficient to cities across North America and Europe. This will be a long-term, full-time role that requires some overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop features and improvements to the applications in a secure, well-tested, and performant way
  • Manage the current web apps that include a customer and employee-facing application
  • Craft code that meets the internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices
  • Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity
  • Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate engineers in your section to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and eliminate blockers

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and Next.js
  • Familiarity with React and Mobile centric design
  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote work environment
