Job description

A U.S.-based company that supports non-profit groups to utilize the fundraising potential of Facebook is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for the algorithm implementation in data lakes, pipelines, and other implementations. The company's goal is to democratize the experience for donors to non-profits by fusing human judgment with data science. The company has managed to raise close to $2 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of creating efficient and effective algorithms
  • Implementing algorithms in data lakes, pipelines, and other implementations
  • Drive the software engineering process with continuous improvement
  • Provide peer review and pair programming
  • Carefully handle multiple tasks from scalable ingestion APIs, data modeling/transfer to microservices and event-based architectures

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in English
