Job description

A US-based company that accumulates and synchronizes hundreds of millions of public employment records in order to create a universal human resources database is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling various data processes, pipelines, and models, as well as working on some of the most difficult and cutting-edge Data Science problems. The organization has a huge database of clients that includes investors, HR teams, Government, and corporate clients. It has managed to successfully raise $4mn+ in funding.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of creating efficient and effective algorithms
  • Be responsible for implementing algorithms in data lakes, pipelines, and other implementations
  • Drive the software engineering process with continuous improvement
  • Provide peer review and pair programming
  • Carefully handle multiple tasks from scalable ingestion APIs, data modeling/transfer to microservices and event-based architectures

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2-5+ years of relevant work experience in a data engineering or data science capacity
  • Must have knowledge of Cloud Computing, Distributed Computing, and Parallelization
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, and Bash is a must
  • Knowledge of NLP is required
  • Should be familiar with representation learning
  • Data visualization familiarity is nice to have
  • Fluent in verbal and written English communication
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
