Job description

A fast-growing company providing advertising innovation at scale with full-stack programmatic solutions is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. As an engineer, you will have solid foundational skills and professional experience working on and developing large-scale data processing systems. The company operates as a globally reliable ally of advertisers and brands directly linked to thousands of publishers and apps worldwide. The selected candidate will be expected to provide excellent operational support while contributing to delivering full-stack programmatic solutions in brand-safe environments.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders for defining actionable requirements and balancing business value with release timeline
Specify requirements and quickly turn around solutions that balance time-to-market concerns with solid engineering and operational principles
Work alongside project management teams to define deliverables and timelines
Provide 2nd/3rd tier support while assisting business and other technical teams
Develop a thorough understanding of modern tools and technologies to improve functionality, performance, and usability
Assist in resolving big-data problems to ensure reputation as the market leader

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
5-7 years of relevant experience in software development
At least 3-5 years of experience in data engineering projects
Knowledge of working with languages like Scala, Kotlin, Java, or Python
Ability to utilize SQL to build efficient applications
Knowledge of working with resources like Git
A thorough understanding of environment building tools like Maven or Gradle
Familiarity with technologies like Hadoop or Spark
Knowledge of working on distributed data storage technologies like Snowflake, BigQuery, Couchbase, etc
Expertise in working with relational database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc
Knowledge of working with cloud solutions like AWS and/or GCP and OSs like Linux and UNIX
