Job description

A US-based company building an AI-based autonomous, self-driving routing and dispatching software is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be maintaining the legacy reporting systems and existing codebases that the company has. The company is on a mission to improve fleet efficiency and customer service for last-mile operations by leveraging the power of advanced technology. The company has secured more than $70mn during its Series C round of funding. This job offers an exciting opportunity for engineers who are delighted to join a fast-growing startup.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Play a critical part in realizing the long-term grand vision of the company
  •  Analyze and understand business requirements and translate into logical data models
  • Work collaboratively with product and design to flesh out requirements
  • Design and build reporting solutions and dashboards from varying data sources
  • Take product ownership and push features over the line
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
  • Extensive experience working with SQL, Python, and Hadoop ecosystem
  • Some experience with AWS EMR, GCP data proc, Cloudera, or similar
  • Familiarity with ML technologies is nice to have
  • Some software architecture experience is desirable
