Job description

A US-based company that is accelerating businesses by resolving the supply network data complexity that enables true supply chain digital transformation, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of transforming raw data into usable systems through various means and implementing automation for data in motion and at rest. The company's cutting-edge technology enables businesses to gain access to a reliable data foundation that allows them to quickly develop and support related industry initiatives. During their Series A round, the company raised funding worth more than $14 mn. This will be a great chance for engineers to contribute actively and rise through the ranks.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of creating efficient and effective algorithms
  • Be responsible for implementing algorithms in data lakes, pipelines, and other implementations
  • Drive the software engineering process with continuous improvement
  • Provide peer review and pair programming
  • Carefully handle multiple tasks from scalable ingestion API’s, data modeling/transfer to microservices, and event-based architectures

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Python/Java, Flask, and SQL/NoSQL
  • Nice to have some knowledge of Kafka and API 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English communication
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
