Job description

A US-based company that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to help enhance the utilization and efficiency of delivery services is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The developer will be responsible for building and maintaining data architectures supporting ML models and analytical platforms in a production environment. The company’s proprietary application and machine learning models help organizations improve the speed and precision of their route planning and dispatching. They have managed to raise a fund of over $23 mn so far. This job presents a good opportunity for candidates to join a fast-growing company and rise quickly across verticals.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop robust data integration (ETL) pipelines using vast technologies
  • Build and deliver high-quality data architecture to support the needs of business analysts, data scientists, and external customers
  • Contribute to the implementation of machine learning techniques into technology architecture
  • Work on improvements for various services such as reporting, analysis, automation, etc.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to the data engineering team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant data engineering experience
  • 3+ years working as an ML Infrastructure or data engineer using Python or similar languages
  • Prolific experience working with SQL, Cloud, and ETL
  • Familiarity with Spark and AWS is nice to have
  • Sound proficiency of Big data ecosystems and other cloud-based technologies 
  • Track record of leveraging ML in applications to solve real-life issues
  • Proficient understanding of data infrastructure and back-end systems
  • Demonstrated experience developing ETL pipelines and solutions
  • Strong communication skills to dissect complex issues and effective  problem-solving aptitude
