Senior Data Engineer

A US-based, mission-driven enterprise dedicated to delivering distributed, open-source solutions for global teams is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building data pipelines that transform raw data into usable formats, serving analytical, operations, and business purposes. Job Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and engineering teams to meet the data requirements 
• Stay committed to solving user needs by contributing primarily to the back-end systems and services
• Collaborate with the site reliability engineers to evaluate the best-in-class procedures for data management and consumption
• Develop data pipelines to serve various functions for applications and customers 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant data engineering experience 
• Experience in Python, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, and SQL data modeling
• Sound proficiency with dynamic languages like Python
• Relevant experience with SQL, data modeling, and patterns
• Solid understanding of big data processing and data pipeline tools
• Working knowledge in integrating data storage solutions using databases such as PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of time management, self-motivation, and self-discipline as a dedicated worker
• Sound documentation and verbal communication skills to collaborate efficiently with the team
