Job description

A fast-growing company on a mission to revolutionize the Fintech industry and provide customers with efficient consumer pension solutions is looking for a React Native Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for working with a wide range of systems and technologies, and solving problems from end to end. The company provides unique solutions that offer holistic retirement planning services to the end-user. Job Responsibilities:

  • Continue building the cross-platform mobile app to facilitate the launch/MVP
  • Focus on improving the user experience and developing new features
  • Apply a deep understanding of React Native to quickly deliver the highly complex UX concerns based on knowledge of available libraries and past experience
  • Operate with various technologies and systems, and offer problem-solving on an end-to-end basis

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Must possess deep experience in Typescript, React Native, RESTful API integration, Redux (and Redux Toolkit)
  • Experience developing high-quality, smooth UX (in React Native) and adhering to good development/design practices
  • Prolific knowledge of building/managing a Component Design System and creating, publishing, and shipping applications for end-users and testing is a must-have
  • Skills in GitHub and ongoing release management are essential
  • Experience working with Heroku, Expo, Native UI components development, and React Native integration, would be nice to have
  • Prior experience in UK Fintech, preferably pensions/savings, TDD, executing and writing unit tests, and configuration of release pipelines and CI’/CD tools is nice to have
  • Knowledge of optimizing and performance tuning React Native applications would be a bonus
  • Some experience with Nest.js, support for various device sizes, orientations, and platforms, and React Native for web
  • Strong written and spoken communications skills in English
