Job description

An emerging company that is building efficient solutions based on their conviction that automation will transform the financial industry, is looking for a React Developer. The developer will be tasked with developing and managing innovative technologies that are revolutionizing the Asset Management industry. The US-based company provides individual investors with the opportunity to automate their investments completely hands-free. This will be a full-time position. During their Pre-Seed round, the company has managed to raise more than $100K in funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver business value, great code, and shape the company’s technology direction for the long term
  • Grow into leadership within the quickly growing organization
  • Take ownership of projects and identify business design gaps directly with your team and our head of product
  • Work closely with professionals from all disciplines to design, build, deploy, test, and support custom features, and applications
  • Collaborate with other front-end specialists across the company to deliver an intuitive, best-in-class UI/UX that is understandable, approachable, easy to use, and enjoyable
  • Tackle a variety of problems including but not limited to enforcing design consistency, integrating new features, expanding on current features, and optimizing web page performance
  • Devise elegant solutions to tackle complex challenges, and put the best ideas to work
  • Use modern software development methodologies and tools like Jira to manage and deliver projects
  • Continuously optimize and improve front-end builds using Webpack, npm, and other tools 
  • Contribute to core UI libraries that make up the foundation of the front-end and are used across the firm
  • Iterate through responsive designs and bring them to life with organized CSS
  • Write technical design documents and conduct code reviews to enhance code quality
  • Promote, implement, and evolve development best practices
  • Teach, coach, mentor, and learn from other professionals on the team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Extensive experience working with React, HTML, JavaScript, browser APIs, and accessibility
  • Familiarity with Figma, Node.js, and efficiently creating functionality between front-end and back-end
  • Solid understanding of the latest versions of React (hook, context, refs), Redux (or Mobx, Flux), and React router
  • Prior experience working with CSS (flexbox, grids), SCSS, and modular CSS
  • Experience with functional programming paradigms and composition patterns to create a complex structure
  • Fluent in written and conversational English
