Job description

A rapidly expanding luxury re-commerce company that focuses on the purchase and sale of branded accessories is looking for a React Developer. The selected candidate will help create a scalable search experience as well as innovative product discovery methods. The company works in close collaboration with luxury brands like Hermes, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci. The company is on a mission to make the world's most sought-after brands more accessible by breaking through the barriers of traditional luxury. The developer will be a role model for other engineers, mentor them, and demonstrate good code quality.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Team up with the product/program management and QA team to accomplish the product vision
  • Work on cross-regional apps that address issues like localization, caching, and routing 
  • Assist with the upkeep of a React component library built with Storybook
  • Take the UX team's designs and turn them into functioning applications with designs that are up to standard
  • Create, develop, and maintain services and applications that use AWS infrastructure

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 5+ years of working/production experience with React.js or other JS frameworks
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with JavaScript
  • Experience building production-level code
  • Experience handling state for large web applications using Redux and Sagas
  • Solid experience working with web technologies like HTML/CSS, JavaScript, REST/JSON
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic landscape
  • Familiarity with Typescript and NodeJS foundations is desirable
  • Nice to have prior experience configuring Webpack
  • Experience with Agile/Kanban methodologies and best practices is nice to have
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to have fun in a small team environment
