Job description

A fast-growing innovative digital health startup based in the US is looking for a Platform Engineering Manager. The engineering manager must have prior experience in an engineering management role shipping customer-facing products. The company is helping businesses to reduce the cost of implementation and maintenance while implementing custom solutions and scaling them across products and global markets. They have secured over $160mn in funding during their Series C round. This will be a full-time role that requires developers to work in a fast-paced environment.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid choices
  • Create inclusive teams where everyone is empowered to do their best job
  • Mentor and guide engineers to engage and focus their attention on the product and company vision
  • Collaborate with peers in Product Management and design to craft and evolve the team’s vision, mission, and strategy
  • Implement efficient engineering processes, metrics, policies, and policies that prioritize quality and progress
  • Develop and implement the team's engineering hiring strategy, which includes sourcing, screening, and interviewing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership position
  • Experience managing an entire full-stack team including mobile, web, and back-end engineers
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
  • Experience working on large-scale distributed systems
