Job description

A US-based company manufacturing advanced lasers and machinery is looking for an OpenCV Engineer. The engineer will be collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership teams to implement scalable solutions. The company is on a mission to build laser technology that enables customers to easily design and create beautiful products. The company has managed to raise $8.5mn in funding so far. This will be a long-term position requiring some overlap with the PST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on improving the 3D camera software used in the company’s laser devices utilizing Intel RealSense libraries
  • Team up with hardware engineers to make laser products utilizing 3D vision 
  • Understand the system’s workflow and formulate plans to address and perform assigned tasks
  • Architect scalable search solutions and initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Must have prior experience in OpenCV is required
  • Nice to have experience in C# and 3D Graphics
  • Should be willing to autonomously work under stringent deadlines
  • Passionate about mathematical concepts such as understanding vectors and 3D transforms and its applicability
  • Demonstrable experience in C# programming 
  • Prior experience in C++ is preferred
  • Experience working with Intel RealSense 3D libraries is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with similar associated technologies such as AprilTags a plus
  • Machine vision experience is nice to have
