Job description

A well-established company helping users to reach out to like-minded people is looking for an iOS Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for diagnosing and fixing application bottlenecks to improve performance. The US-based company is developing the next-generation video surface, as well as brand-new creation tools and a home for creators. The company has managed to raise more than $1bn in funding so far. This role requires 4+ hours overlap with the US time zones. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering colleagues to implement product and business strategy and create innovative products and features that our customers will like
  • Participate in all phases of the development process, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Build new things and thrive in ambiguity and even failure
  • Review code and design documentation, as well as product specs and mockups, and provide feedback
  • Lead a group of thoughtful, quick-thinking, and enthusiastic engineers
  • Set and set standards to optimize developer processes, promote best practices, and assist engineers on the team in their professional development by coaching and mentoring them
  • Learn and develop your technical and non-technical skills on a regular basis

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an iOS Engineer
  • At least 5+ years of experience developing user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale
  • Prolific experience with Swift and Objective-C
  • Proficiency with multithreading and performance optimization techniques for iOS
  • Prior knowledge of GraphQL, REST, and HTTP basics, as well as the ability to create maintainable APIs, is desirable
  • Strong organizational abilities, including high attention to detail and the ability to keep projects on track
  • Exceptional communication skills
