Job description

A U.S.-based company that is determined to revolutionize the finance industry and cater to the needs of the underbanked and overlooked segments of the population is looking for a Golang Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining technical priorities with the core engineering team. The company is building the world's most accessible financial services by tapping into the power of technology. The company has successfully managed to raise $350mn+ in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Address identified challenges, write tests, and add new functionality
  • Develop, code, fix, and test current software programs and products
  • Evaluate the code and eliminate any issues that may have appeared
  • Take ownership of various parts of the technology stack while building scalable features and products

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-8+ years of experience in designing, building and maintaining enterprise services written in Golang
  • 5+ years of experience with microservices
  • Proficiency in large scale distributed data processing, message passing and event streaming, and enterprise APIs
  • Prior experience with Kafka, Java, and Scala is desirable
  • Experience in developing strong unit testing and TDD practice
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
