Job description

A NASDAQ-listed internet company that is developing world-class services to help businesses improve application performance and supercharge their network, is looking for a Go Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for adding features and fixing bugs based on outstanding GitHub issues on some of their integrations. Businesses can deploy globally and connect privately to thousands of locations thanks to the company's automated, as-a-service infrastructure. The company has managed to successfully secure $1.2bn+ in funding so far. This position requires 4+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone and will be a long-term commitment. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend daily team standups and participate in regular brainstorming sessions
  • Help the team execute the necessary tasks as they move their focus from one integration to another
  • Work with a time crunch to meet deadlines and help the team to scale up engineering projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public projects to create, maintain, and support open-source integrations for the company’s products and services

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 6+ years of experience working between Linux, Go, and Python
  • 2-3+ years of experience writing Kubernetes operators
  • Demonstrable experience and skills with Kubernetes and networking
  • Familiarity with Terraform Provider (Go code), Cluster API Provider (Kubernetes, Go code), Cloud Provider for Kubernetes (Kubernetes, Go code), and Metal CLI (Go code)
  • In-depth knowledge of Generated SDKs (OpenAPI, Python, Go, Java), Ansible Provider (Python code), and Pulumi Provider (Go code)
  • Prolific experience with Juju Provider (Go code) and Crossplane Provider (Kubernetes, Go code)
  • Solid understanding of Slack, Jira, and GitHub
  • Some familiarity with Terraform integration projects (HCL code) is desirable
  • Prior experience working with open-source Go projects is nice to have
  • Must be a great team player
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
