Job description

An NYSE-listed company helping businesses to transform their renewable projects by implementing clean energy intelligence is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of creating intuitive applications that allow customers, partners, and internal teams to interact with and operate the company’s bidder application. The company provides and manages battery storage solutions that maximize the production of renewable energy and aid in the development of a cleaner, more sustainable grid. The company has managed to raise $550mn+ in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a UX design or wireframe, and turn it into a functional application 
  • Collaborate with the back-end and test-automation engineers to deliver high-quality applications
  • Develop reusable UI components and applications that can adapt to different screen sizes, locales, and platforms
  • Ensure applications are safeguarded against malicious attacks
  • Develop web applications for customers, partners, and employees, utilizing current JavaScript frameworks such as React and Material UI
  • Work closely with back-end engineers and product managers to design, code, test, and deliver the front-end of the application

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing web applications
  • Extensive experience in JavaScript and CSS
  • Demonstrable experience with Redux, React, and related libraries
  • Prior experience in collaborating with UX designers and product managers
  • Experience with creating and delivering front-end applications in the cloud
  • Working experience developing UI applications using RESTful back-end APIs
  • Experience in using the Agile methodology
  • Nice to have experience building applications using Material UI
  • Experience in mobile development (progressive web app or native) is a plus
  • Nice to have knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of continuous integration & delivery toolchains
  • Excellent English communication skills
