Job description

A US-based company building custom software and ML solutions in collaboration with the requirements of entrepreneurs and executives, is looking for a Data Scientist. The selected candidate will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and reusable codes. The company's development, data science, and design studios assist businesses in translating disparate ideas into practical, engaging products. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop clean, robust, and maintainable code 
  • Conduct unit tests and code reviews
  • Monitor and handle the data requirements of relevant stakeholders and clients
  • Work with the engineering and the product teams to figure out what data is needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer 
  • Fluency in Python is preferred 
  • Demonstrable experience in data science is required
  • Extensive experience in JavaScript / Node.js 
  • Easy adaptability with the methods deployed in classification problems
  • Solid understanding of NLP/NLU and willingness to learn new processes 
  • Must have prior experience with image classification
  • Experience with machine learning APIs via REST or client libraries is a plus 
  • Must have agile experience working with Kanban, Scrum, Extreme Programming 
  • Solid understanding of Steve Martin’s “Picasso at the Lapin Agile”
  • Experience managing clients and client relationships
  • Passionate about working with a startup 
  • A great sense of humor is nice to have
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English 
  • Experience with self-managed data science projects
  • Have a strong software development background
  • Ability to manage clients and client relationships
