Job description

An emerging start-up offering simplified ways for engineering and cloud finance teams to stay cost-conscious and maintain accountability is looking for a Backend Python Engineer. The candidate will contribute to building a world-class data analytics platform for engineering teams to use their cloud infrastructure efficiently and intelligently without disrupting their workflows. As a member of the team, the engineer will have a huge impact on the product and codebase, while contributing to laying the future foundations. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with industry veterans and contribute to building scalable products.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect, process, and analyze infrastructure and observability data across different platforms (AWS, New Relic, Datadog, GCP, etc.)
  • Provide post-analysis data through engineering workflows (APIs, Slack bots, etc.)
  • Work collaboratively to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions for the implementation of new features
  • Design and implement low-latency and highly performant applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Prior experience as a full-stack or backend engineer
  • Expert skills in Python and AWS
  • Experience with data engineering is nice to have
  • Passion for working with large data sets with experience in writing quality statistical analysis code is preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
