Job description

A global multi-billion-dollar pharmaceutical giant operating for over a century is looking for a Back-End Python Engineer. The engineer will work with solid object-oriented coding skills to write codes and design scalable, cloud-based applications. The Fortune 500-listed company has become the industry standard in pharmaceutical care with its functions in more than 60 countries across the globe. This is a rare opportunity to work on a global platform for a well-established multinational corporation. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Connect front-end components with server-side features and functionalities
  • Work alongside product and engineering teams
  • Fine-tune platform performance to improve execution speed and resolve scalability hurdles
  • Configure modern security and data protection protocols
  • Communicate clearly, experiment, plan, and develop APIs, data storage solutions, and other business applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Ability to utilize back-end and cloud technologies like Python and AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Knowledge of working with automated testing platforms and versioning tools like Git
  • A thorough understanding of REST API design methodologies, session management, etc.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Knowledge of database administration, scripting, data migration & backup, authorization will be helpful
  • Expertise in working on algorithms, data structures, time & space complexity, distributed systems, etc
  • Expert analytical capabilities with interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think through complex problems and ask questions
  • Understanding of algorithm and problem-solving such as array and string problems
  • Should be able to simplify large/complex problems into separate modules
