Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients and project owners to understand requirements, and determine the functionalities and designs of applications
  • Participate in building new features and functionalities for front-end, database and server integration to back-end
  • Contribute to the design & development, and customization of complex WordPress plugins
  • Write well-documented, reusable, and scalable code and maintain documentation for future reference
  • Work closely with clients and project owners to understand requirements, and determine the functionalities and designs of applications

  • Contribute to the design & development, and customization of complex WordPress plugins
  • Write well-documented, reusable, and scalable code and maintain documentation for future reference
  • Run performance test and unit test to ensure code quality, functionality, and availability of the web app before final delivery
  • Keep track of live website performance and act proactively in fixing bugs and troubleshooting
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements, trends, and best practices in software development

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience in WordPress development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Working experience with WordPress, PHP, Ruby, and JavaScript
  • Good knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, jQuery, etc.

  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
