Job description

Job responsibilities

Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop data processing systems
Design, develop, and deploy analytics solutions to meet client requirements
Create effective, clean, scalable, and robust R code
Perform advanced data analysis, data manipulation, and data modeling
Identify and troubleshoot programming bottlenecks
Ensure smooth performance of the systems
Create and conduct unit testing as well as performance and integration testing
Develop new data models and refactor existing codebases using R language
Create and maintain documentation and specifications for R interfaces

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of professional experience in R programming (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
Excellent grasp of R programming language
Solid understanding of database technologies such as SQL
Extensive experience working with RUnit for testing and REST APIs
Hands-on experience in major scripting languages, like Python, Perl, etc.
Fluent in English for effective communication
Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zone

Preferred skills

Ability to use version control tools, such as Git, SVN, etc.
Solid working experience with descriptive analytics, predictive analysis, and statistics
Deep knowledge AI/ML algorithms and statistical computing
Knowledge of Agile development and delivery methodologies
