Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to determine requirements, development processes, and plan the delivery roadmap
  • Troubleshoot and fix any issues found in existing PHP programs
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations of web processes and infrastructure
  • Write PHP scripts to facilitate client systems to meet the product performance and objectives
  • Assist the QA team to prepare software testing for client applications
  • Create and maintain documentation for the development cycle and code
  • Write or modify client software with the help of source debuggers
  • Work closely with the project owners and development team to complete projects promptly

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3+ years of proven experience as a PHP developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Excellent knowledge of the basic PHP 7 or web server exploits
  • Strong knowledge of PHP coding and web-based applications
  • Good understanding of website integration and software creation
  • Good knowledge of SQL and related databases along with a detailed understanding of database design and administration
  • Ability to integrate the application with third party services using REST APIs
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Fluency in English for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Experience in building or maintaining CMSs
  • Knowledge of MVC frameworks and code versioning tools
  • Ability to integrate different data sources and databases into a single system
  • Able to follow clear instructions according to client demands
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly enthusiastic about delivering results
