Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of Android, and hybrid mobile app
  • Participate in building intuitive and user-friendly UI
  • Assist in handling and developing integration of mobile apps with third-party systems, applications, and APIs
  • Ensure responsiveness and cross-platform optimization of applications
  • Work closely with the data science team to ensure data security
  • Collaborate with the graphic designers for implementing new web design features
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to understand both technical and consumer demands
  • Keep abreast of advanced technologies and trends in mobile development industry

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working as an Android developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Highly proficient with developing mobile applications using Flutter
  • Excellent development skills using Flutter, Dart, Rest APIs, Angular, jQuery, Ionic framework, etc.
  • Experience with Material Design and Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Well-versed with cloud message APIs and using push notifications
  • Fluent in developing applications on the cloud platform, especially AWS
  • Strong understanding of database technology such as MySQL and MongoDB
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Good knowledge of adding third-party libraries and APIs
  • Fluency in English for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Experience working with JIRA and Gitlab
  • Exposure to DevOps tools like Kubernetes, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
  • Familiarity with push notifications and iOS integration with Flutter
  • Proven ability to maintain code integrity and organization
  • Familiar with unit testing and integration testing
  • Knowledge of Mercurial, Git, SVN, GitHub, and other similar environments
  • Proficient with standard debugging techniques, like logging, LLDB, instruments to localize and correct software defects
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Excellent creative and logical thinking
