Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cloud platforms and support applications, demonstrating agile and dynamic software support capabilities
  • Build a microservices environment to support cutting-edge cloud platforms
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and continuous delivery while increasing the maturity of DevOps and Agile adoption practices
  • Build and maintain cloud platforms and support applications, demonstrating agile and dynamic software support capabilities

  • Get involved in the development and implementation of integrated and automated DevSecOps capability for applications
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of infrastructure configuration as a code using configuration systems, such as Ansible, Chef, etc.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design, and execution, and perform platform development based on Agile methodologies
  • Focus on improving the application and innovation incessantly
  • Work effectively in collaboration with other team members to adhere to security and compliance guidelines

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience in DevOps and cloud computing (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Extensive experience in Big Data, Spark, OpenShift, and/or Kubernetes

  • Extensive experience in Big Data, Spark, OpenShift, and/or Kubernetes
  • Expertise in developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Good understanding of Linux internals along with Release Engineering, Artifactory, Nexus, and CI/CD tools, like Jenkins, Travis
  • Proficient in scripting languages, such as bash/shell and Groovy
  • Working experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Terraform Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in networking and network configuration, application performance monitoring, container performance, and security
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Proven Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience in OOO programming languages, like Scala, Java, Go, and API programming
  • Ability to work in collaborative environments using Agile methodologies
