Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in data cleaning & wrangling, quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers
  • Partner with product, operation, and engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
  • Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and product launches
  • Creating and assessing trials, as well as forecasting and defining product team goals
  • Apply expertise in data cleaning & wrangling, quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers
  • Partner with product, operation, and engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
  • Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and product launches
  • Creating and assessing trials, as well as forecasting and defining product team goals
  • Monitor important product KPIs and figure out what's causing them to change
  • Create dashboards and reports based on business requirements
  • Creating and analyzing dashboards and reports, constructing critical data sets to enable operational and exploratory analysis, and reviewing and establishing KPIs of all tasks that need to be completed
  • Proposing new features for the next roadmap, as well as gaining a better grasp of ecosystems, user behavior, and long-term trends
  • Developing models of user behavior for analysis or to power production systems, as well as identifying new levers to help shift critical metrics
  • Presentation of data-based suggestions to product teams in order to influence them
  • Helping analytics and product teams to implement best practices, as well as communicating the health of the company, experiment findings, and other information to product teams

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree with a focus in Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, or Engineering(or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analytics (rare exceptions for talented developers)
  • Ability to structure business requirements into a series of analysis and perform quantitative data analysis, write reports, and present findings
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, MATLAB)
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree with a focus in Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, or Engineering(or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analytics (rare exceptions for talented developers)
  • Ability to structure business requirements into a series of analysis and perform quantitative data analysis, write reports, and present findings
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, MATLAB)
  • Applied statistics or experimentation (i.e. A/B testing) in an industry setting
  • Ability to communicate the results of the analysis to product or leadership teams to influence the strategy
  • Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers
  • Work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
