Job description
Job responsibilities
- Provision and administer Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines in a highly available environment
- Perform configuration management and disaster recovery tasks in a new environment
- Monitor and manage Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS deployments
- Ensure user satisfaction and enable continuous improvements
- Supervise higher complexity operational and preventive maintenance tasks
- Analyze the root cause for repeatable incidents and find solutions to prevent issues
- Contribute to creating support documentation and scripts
- Make sure to align with compliance, regulatory requirements, and business objectives
- Keep abreast with the latest technology solutions initiatives and IT direction
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience working with Microsoft Cloud Azure solution suite
- Prolific experience in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Kubernetes, Azure Synapse
- Proficient with Oracle databases, SQL queries, and cloud-based (Azure specifically) application/service architecture, including deployment and scaling
- Extensive experience in Apache/Tomcat Webserver
- Demonstrable experience in designing, implementing and supporting Active Directory and Azure AD solutions
- Profound knowledge of performing root cause analysis for system and app issues
- Solid experience using Azure Automation, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Terraform, and ARM templates
- Comprehensive ideas of infrastructure solutions, specifically in relation to Microsoft Azure, platform migration, system security, enterprise directories, and cloud technologies
- Experience in design, implementation, and support of sophisticated Azure infrastructure solutions (IaaS & PaaS)
- Strong understanding of designing, implementing and supporting Active Directory and Azure AD solutions
- Fluency in English to collaborate with engineering managers and clients
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with the US time zone
Preferred skills
- Solid experience with various monitoring tools such as AppDynamics
- Experience in Azure HA/DR, scaling and backup solutions
- Familiarity using Azure network topologies
- Passion for technology and knowledge
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in an Agile environment
