Job description

A well-established company fostering real-time insights into cellular biology to speed up therapeutic research and manufacturing is looking for a Web Application Engineer. The selected candidate will create a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application. The company's technologies pioneer analytical skills to investigate biology and increase the rate of scientific advancement. The company has managed to raise close to $6.5 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design the web application's overall architecture
  • Development of a strong collection of services and APIs to power the web application
  • Creating reusable code and libraries to be used in the future
  • Application optimization for optimum speed and scalability
  • Security and data protection implementation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of professional experience building reactive and responsive, single-page web application
  • 4+ years of experience in Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • 3+ years of experience in Vue.js and associated frameworks, including PrimeVue, and Vue router
  • Completion of at least two full product development lifecycles, including deployment, support, and maintenance
  • Grounded in software engineering methodologies and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to incorporate feedback into iterative work
  • Sense of independence and ownership
  • Practical knowledge of agile testing methodologies, such as FDD, TDD, and/or BDD
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of both new and existing systems
  • Exposure to web application integration testing frameworks (Cucumber.js, Selenium) is a plus
  • Knowledge of human factors and engineering principles is nice to have
  • Prior experience working in the life sciences industry is desirable
  • Proficiency in English
