Job description

A US-based company that provides interim loans, lease loans, and mortgage finance solutions to real estate investors, is looking for a Teach Lead. The selected candidate must have a product-focused approach and will be working with state-of-the-art technologies to deliver end-to-end solutions. Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvements to mortgage platform and regularly discharge software maintenance
  • Actively respond to production support incidents reported by customers
  • Work across a cross-functional team to build robust, scalable solutions 
  • Lead a high-performance team in the development, unit testing, automation testing, and implementation of the company’s products and services
  • Recruit, direct and assist a highly skilled set of software engineers 
  • Ensure excellent code quality, delivering results on time, and work with multiple stakeholders to define use cases, requirements, and milestones
  • Constructively communicate technical and business risks to relevant stakeholders 
  • Develop project plans, manage timelines and align interdisciplinary teams towards a common goal and vision
  • Iterate quickly in accordance with customer feedback and evolve products and services
  • Play a critical role in business planning, resource requirements, and influence long-term technical and business strategy
  • Create consensus in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Reduce the company’s technical debt through resourceful solutions 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Prior experience shipping complex projects focused on company’s targets 
  • Demonstrable experience leading high-performing teams
  • Nice to have experience managing Rails teams 
  • Solid understanding of agile and test-driven methodologies
  • Own a customer-first attitude 
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment within stringent deadlines 
  • Nice to have experience in Ruby, JavaScript, and Typescript 
  • Prior experience with frontend frameworks, including React and GraphQL
  • Must have solid experience using backend frameworks such as Rails, Node.js
  • Demonstrable experience in databases (Postgres, Redis) is preferred but not required
  • Solid experience with application security 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
