Job description

A fast-growing start-up based in the US that uses unique Natural Language Processing (NLP) insights and products to help get optimum and personalized search results, is looking for a Tech Lead. The developer will be responsible for building and developing first class marketing solutions, e-commerce search systems and services while working closely with a wide range of engineers/contractors. The company has revolutionized and evolved the search experience for e-commerce sites, marketers and consumers with its cutting-edge proprietary NLP and MI technology. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction on architecture, APIs, and system design for full stack (storage, ETL, data layer, service, UI) projects
  • Contribute technically via code and design, and reviews for both, and scoping of work for other engineers and contractors
  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate with the product, data science and sales team to drive important business results
  • Contribute to team development by setting best practices, learning and sharing knowledge, and influencing toward technical excellence
  • Be accountable for technical quality and project delivery

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer/technical lead
  • Prior experience with React.js, Python/Java and AWS
  • Proven track record of delivering successfully within strict timelines
  • Experience with architecting and designing large/complex systems
  • Experience with driving engineering work under ambiguous and changing business requirements
  • Must have significant experience in web development (back-end server and front-end client)
  • Experience in data pipelines and data analytics
  • Able to work effectively with a wide range of engineers/contractors
  • Must possess excellent organization, prioritization and communication skills
