Job description

The selected candidate will be in charge of clearly conveying the development approach to the lead developer and other stakeholders. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable features within the company’s applications
  • Participate in collaboration, prototyping, design, coding, testing, debugging, effort estimation, and continuous quality improvement of the code 
  • Design and implement new features, fix bugs, and innovate to produce alternate solutions
  • Iterate quickly to provide solutions to problems and take a component through the entire development cycle
  • Collaborate with the team to improve the performance, usability, and reliability
  • Design, implement, and adhere to the web architecture to fulfill the software requirements 
  • Take ownership of successful delivery of software functionality for product objective
  • Work closely with the design team to create a consistent design using flowcharts, class diagrams, and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs)
  • Work closely with the team to attend to source code walkthroughs, re-factoring, and ensure it meets the documentation standards
  • Assist in troubleshooting efforts in production systems and fulfill support requests from the developers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Demonstrable experience developing a variety of software systems and involvement in analysis, design, implementation, and deployment tasks 
  • Prolific experience in Product development using Java8, J2EE, Spring boot, Spring MVC, JSF, Rest API, JSON, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis Cache, Amber, Javascript/jQuery, etc.
  • Extensive experience in Handlebars.js, Flyway, PrimeFaces
  • Solid experience developing data-driven applications utilizing relational database engines (including SQL Server, Oracle, DB2) 
  • Prior experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and query optimization
  • Must have experience building web-based software systems, utilizing N-tier architectures and complex security models/implementations
  • Comprehensive understanding of design patterns, system architecture, and configurations for enterprise web applications is a plus
  • Knowledge of development environments like Eclipse, GitHub / Bitbucket, etc. is preferred
  • Nice to have knowledge of different concepts of source code management (version control)
  • Experience with Agile software development is a bonus 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
