Job description

A rapidly-growing company helping businesses in the oil and gas industry to develop innovative strategies and achieve growth is looking for a Senior React Native Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of improving the engineering standards, tooling, and processes across the platform. The company offers comprehensive process, data, and technology services to help businesses solve the most complex operational, financial, and back-office issues. Job Responsibilities:

Develop features of the product roadmap for React and React Native mobile and web applications
Participate in bi-weekly scrum ceremonies including user story review, backlog grooming, estimation, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Develop frontend including UI/UX, necessary supporting API calls, and underlying database design and development
Work closely with the product to comprehend the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the area of responsibility
Provide necessary technical perspective and insights
Participate in strategic discussions around the product roadmap, development platform decisions, and help manage contract development teams
Build and manage enterprise data lakes, architectural integration patterns & APIs, including structured and unstructured data

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
Experience with various competencies, such as AWS cloud, ETL/ELT design patterns, and data governance
SaaS application experience is preferred
Experience with AWS technologies and serverless design patterns
Comprehensive Web and mobile development experience working with React, React Native, and Node.js utilizing test-driven development methodologies
Comfortable working in a hybrid development timeline and agile environment as determined by the product and development team
Demonstrable experience participating in scrum ceremonies, including user story review, backlog grooming, estimation, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Prior experience with daily scrum ceremonies
Strong organizational and English communication skills
Working experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically around production, financial, and/or operations data, is preferred but not required
