Job description

A fast-growing company that is leveraging the power of technology to provide businesses access to revolutionary lead-generating funnels is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be reporting directly to US-based team leaders and will be working with cutting-edge technologies on world-class cloud platforms. Job Responsibilities:

Transform high-level business objectives, functional and non-functional requirements into high-quality, consistent, coherent, scalable, and secure software design and code
Avoid technical debt by contributing to and implementing the most accurate representation of our design specifications
Lead design review meetings and ensure that new features fit into the existing architecture
Using agile and continuous delivery methodologies, design, develop, deploy, document, and implement software across product lines
Work with the product management team to analyze product development, design collaborative features, and deliver new products and features
Plan sprints and feature delivery with your Scrum team, including serving as a Scrum Master as needed
Showcase integrated knowledge of technologies, processes, systems, and product lines
Have a strong passion for design and development that is always centred on the user experience
It is critical to have high-quality, high-performance code while also being able to deliver a great finished product and meet deadlines
Ability to deliver incremental code changes using GIT and container technologies
Be able to provide the critical thinking and problem-solving required to solve design issues
Investigate and recommend new technologies and strategies to ensure that products remain cutting-edge.
Communicate with, document, and train other team members on the features and functionality delivered
Review requests for code changes to identify potential improvements and errors before approving them
Be able to mentor junior team members, provide feedback, and review their designs and code
Understand customer escalation processes and actively collaborate with the company's support team to provide tier 4 support and quickly resolve escalated issues

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of experience working as a full-stack engineer
5+ years of design, development, and testing experience is required
Deep knowledge and expertise in at least one strongly typed object-oriented programming language, preferably Go, PHP, and/or the Laravel 7/8 PHP Framework
Expertise in the LAMP web development stack is a must
Required experience with web development (HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript), as well as JavaScript frameworks like jQuery and React.js
Understanding of computer science fundamentals, including a firm understanding of design principles, patterns, models, and data structures
GIT version control and workflow experience
SQL-based database experience that includes schema design, profiling, and query optimization
Experience with unit and automation testing tools like PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat, and others
Centos7 or a similar Linux distribution is required
Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including agile methodologies
Strong knowledge of user interface, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and standards
The ability to rapidly implement new solutions and technologies
Ability and desire to bring new ideas to the table and work together to solve problems
A desire to learn and improve
Meticulous in completing tasks on time, with high quality, and with attention to detail (written and verbal)
Desire to collaborate to define requirements and refine them based on feedback received over multiple iterations
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines for software development and deployment is a plus
Knowledge of container, virtualization, and orchestration knowledge, preferably Docker and Kubernetes is preferred
Design and development of Laravel Lumen APIs and REST APIs is a plus
Preferred extensive knowledge of continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or Bitbucket pipelines is a bonus
Expertise in message queuing systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ is a bonus
Problem solver who is both creative and efficient
Excellent command of the English language
